Melvin Ray Dehn, 83, of Laconia, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Baptist Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born May 29, 1941, in Elizabeth, Indiana, to the late Laurel and Ada Houser Dehn. He worked as a diesel mechanic and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lanesville, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hiser Dehn, of Laconia, Indiana; his son, Darin Dehn (Rebecca) of Laconia, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jacob Dehn (Samantha) and Allison Ratliff (Alex); his great-grandchildren, Easton, Rhett and Levi; and his sister, Alma McRae.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lanesville. Rev. Henry Loppnow will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025, and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Dehn, Alex Ratliff, James Hiser, Jeremy Hiser, Jansen Hiser and Troy Whitman.
