Mary Louise Smith, 71, of Corydon, Indiana, died Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at her home in Corydon.  She was born February 20, 1954, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Charles Atkins and Thelma McCutcheon Hockman.  She was a retired licensed practical nurse, a Ham radio operator and a member of the Catholic faith.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Dawna L. Wilkinson; and her brother, Steve Ferguson.

 

Survivors are her husband, Virgil L. Smith, Jr.; her son, Virgil L. Smith, III; her grandchildren, Samuel and Alex Smith; her great grandchildren, Hardin and Kyla Smith; and her sister, Anna Anderson.

 

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
