Mary Lou Rothrock

Mary Lou Rothrock, 91, wife of the late Darrel Dean Rothrock of Corydon, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at the Estates of Hyde Park in Tampa, Florida.  Born February 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Chet and Helen Simlar of Elizabeth. Mary Lou attended Corydon Central High School and the Indiana University extension in Jeffersonville. She worked at various Louisville department stores including Byck's and Stewart's as a buyer and a first floor department manager before giving in to her passion for the game of golf and duplicate bridge. She traveled the country and internationally, competing in duplicate bridge tournaments, obtaining twice over, the title of Life Master.

Mary Lou is survived by her son, Stuart Lee Rothrock of Tampa, Florida.

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be Monday, December 21, 2020 at Blue River Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
