Mary Janet Luther

Mary Janet Luther, 78, of Corydon, died Friday, March 18, 2022, at Indiana Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon.  She was born October 19, 1943, in Corydon, to the late John Kenneth “Jack” and Edna Louise Engleman Meyer.  She was retired from General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky, and was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Corydon. She, along with her husband, Orlin, had traveled through every state in the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Jay Douglas Meyer and Mark Meyer; and her sister, Connie Meyer.

Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, Orlin William Luther; her son, Jeffrey Luther (Pat) of Corydon; her daughters, Janeen Engleman (Kenny) of Corydon and Susan Luther Gay (Greg) of Tallahassee, Florida; her grandchildren, Josh, Micah and Coty Luther and Jessica Mathes; her great grandchildren, Brinlee, Dale, Soren, Kayleigh, Sadie and Monroe; her brother, John D. Meyer (Priscilla); her sisters, Nancy Conrad and Joyce Smith; and her beloved dog, Chelsea

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Corydon.  Pastor Evangeline Anderson-Rajkumar will officiate.  Burial with be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Josh Luther, Coty Luther, Duray Conrad and Chad Conrad.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
