Martin E. Richardson, 80, of Elizabeth, died Saturday, January 30, 2021, at his home near Elizabeth. He was born November 30, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Felix and Mary Davidson Richardson. He was retired from Sud-Chemie, Inc. in Louisville, was formerly employed at Keller Manufacturing Company in Corydon and Wenning Packing Company near New Salisbury, Indiana, and was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New Middletown, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John and Austin Gogan; his sister and her husband, Florence and Billy White; and his sister in law, Martha Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth J. Deatrick Richardson; his son, Marc A. Richardson of Elizabeth; his daughter, Lisa Jean Richardson of Elizabeth; his grandchildren, Jordyn and Brady Richardson; his brothers, Leland Richardson of Louisville, and Ronald Richardson (Rosemary) and Russell Richardson (Trudy) both of Corydon; his sister in law, Joyce Gogan of Scottsboro, Alabama; and many loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral mass will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New Middletown. Father Kyle Rodden will officiate. Burial will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Pallbearers will be Brady and Marc Richardson, Joe Gogan, Tony and Bob White, Joshua and Nathan Lind, Jason Powers and Jason Schneider.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Most Precious Blood Cemetery or Adaptive Hospice.
