Marjorie “Jean” Dean, 79, of Elizabeth, Indiana, died Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Bennett Place Assisted Living in New Albany, Indiana.  She was born July 3, 1946, in Elizabeth, to the late Roy Kenneth Morgan and Marjorie McInteer Morgan.  She was formerly employed at Indiana Bell Telephone Company for nearly 20 years and was a faithful member of Grace Tabernacle Assembly of God Church near Laconia, Indiana.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elaine McKnight.

 

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Nelson Ray Dean; her daughters, Sherry Brown (Randy) and Leanne Dean Cunningham (Chris); her deeply beloved grandchildren, Sharon Thompson, Isaac Brown, Shane Brown (Cheyenne), Caden Cunningham (Kaylee) and Collin Cunningham; her great grandchildren, Harper, Everett and Fletcher; and her sisters, Marianne Russel and Sandy Miller.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Randy Brown will officiate.  Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery near Elizabeth.

 

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Isaac Brown, Shane Brown, Caden Cunningham and Collin Cunningham.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Glenwood Cemetery Fund.
