Marjan Marinc, 90, of Corydon, died Friday, January 5, 2024, at The Willows Assisted Living near Corydon.  He was born July 2, 1933, in Zapuze, Slovenia, to the late Ivan and Marija Colnar Marinc.  He was a retired machinist at Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation in Louisville, was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers in Louisville, Kentucky, attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford, Indiana, and loved gardening and yardwork.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Danielle Bérthin Marinc; and his siblings, Maria, Ivanka, Ivan, Aneka, Fanika and Vida.

 

Survivors include his sons, Jim Marinc (Sarah) of Carol Stream, Illinois and David Marinc (Melody) of Corydon; his daughter, Corinne Sermon (Tom) of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Alex, Zoey, Anna, Matthew, Sean, Teddy, Maddy, Lance and Meg.

 

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Deacon Tim Elder will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Corydon.

 

Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
