Marilyn Longacre Smith, 71, of Corydon, died Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Bourbon Heights in Paris, Kentucky. She was born September 14, 1949, in Corydon, to the late Amzie Herschel and Margie Louise Rhoads Longacre. She was the owner of Corydon Flower and Gift Shop, was a member of Tri Kappa, was a former Girl Scouts troop leader for many years, and was at one time an avid golfer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jerry Longacre; and her sister, Sharon K. Longacre Ullrich.
Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Mack (Rob) of Paris; her granddaughter, Elsa Louise; her brother, Ronnie Longacre (Charlene) of Bardstown, Kentucky; her sisters, Sue Longacre Wenning (Paul) of Frankfort, Kentucky and Jean Pflanz (Rick) of Corydon; and many loving nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Amzie Lee Wenning will officiate. Burial will be in Perseverance Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
