Marilyn Joyce Hammack, 67, of Ramsey, Indiana, died Saturday, August 3, 2024, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was born March 16, 1957, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Freeman and Myrtle Kidd Edwards.  She was formerly employed in maintenance with the Indiana Department of Transportation, with the New Albany Police Department Ticketing Division, and with the City of New Albany Street Department.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, William Cole Cook; her brothers, Phillip, Thomas, Roger, and Freeman Edwards, Jr.; and her sister, Sharon Gresham.

 

Survivors include her sons, Curtis Missi (April) and William Cook (Heather); her brother, Keith Edwards (Regina); her sister, Patricia Edwards; her grandchildren, Lakan, Brailyn, and Brooklyn Missi, and Kaiyah and Kadin Cook; and her great grandchildren, Kynleigh Springer and Kaizley Missi.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate.  Burial will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery near Henryville, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2024, and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the funeral home.
