Margaret Emily

Margaret Emily, 94, of Corydon, passed from this life on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon, with her family at her side and her baby doll in her arms.  She was born October 27, 1928, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Jacob (Jake) Anderson and Bertha Ginkins Anderson Kaiser.  She was a Methodist by faith and attended Old Capitol and Corydon Methodist Churches.  She worked at many restaurants in Corydon, New Albany and Louisville, and at the old Indiana Army Ammunition Powder Bag Plant near Charlestown before moving to Florida.  There she worked in security at Walt Disney World in Orlando until her retirement in 1990.  She enjoyed working both on floral arrangements and wedding cakes, and loved drawing and painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Debbie Stonecipher, her grandsons, Paul King and Gary Conrad; and her sons in law, Robert Conrad and John Elliott.

Survivors include her son, Bob Emily (Denise) of Corydon; her daughters, June Rowland (John) of Corydon and Barbara Elliott of Marengo, Indiana; her adopted son, Gary Rickert (Darlina) of Crandall, Indiana; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Allen Edwards will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
