Loran “Keith” Smith, 81, of Corydon, died Friday, December 8, 2023, at his home near Corydon.  He was born January 30, 1942, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Edward P. and Edith M. Mauck Smith.  He was retired from the Town of Corydon Waste Water Treatment Plant, after working there for over 36 years.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Carl and Bradley Smith.

 

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Juanita “Jeanie” Bussabarger Smith; his sons, Alan Keith Smith (Laura) and Jerry Wayne Smith (Karen) both of Corydon; his grandchildren, Larry Crockett (Stacy), Sara Lopp (Randy), Nicolas Smith (Landi) and Trevor Smith (Elaina); his great grandchildren, Sean, Tucker, Hayes, Kyler, Corbin and Lochlan; his brother, Walter Smith (Carolyn) of Corydon; and his sisters, Judy Ponsford (Mike) of Salem, Indiana and Paula Denbo (Richard) of Corydon.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Paul Greer will officiate.  Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Trevor Smith, Nicolas Smith, Kyler Robertson, Larry Crockett, Sean Crockett, Randy Lopp and Tucker Lopp.
