Lonnie Lamar Faith, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 in Saginaw, MI. after a short illness.  He was born on May 26, 1944 in New Albany, IN. to Wilbur L. Faith and Virginia K. Simcox Faith, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 year Mary Faith and sons Jeffery Faith (Rhonda) and Shawn Faith (Vickie) both of Glen Rose, TX. Daughters Christi Crocker (Jeff) and Charity Hughes (Jason) both of Williston, FL. Step-son Tony Yates of Clarksville, In. and Step-daughter Sarah Miller of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by grand-children Kyle, Nicholas, Kailey, Kade, Hannah, Kaela, Isabella, Colton, Gabriel, Daniel, Sarah, and Elijah.

 

He is also survived by step-mother Jan Faith of New Washington, IN., brother Terry Faith (Glenda) of Jeffersonville, IN. and sister Mindy Faith of New Washington, IN. and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He spent his formative years living in New Salisbury, IN. and attending North Central High School.

 

After high school he spent five years in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service as a Sonar Technician on both conventional subs (USS Odax) and nuclear powered Polaris missile subs. (USS Casmir Pulaski) having earned his “Dolphins” on both types of craft.

 

Nearly 50 years ago he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, with whom he now resides.

 

He was buried in a private service at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Mauckport, IN.
