Linda Sue Lanham Kost, 77, of Ramsey, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was born July 25, 1948, in Orange County, Indiana, to the late Cecil Bryan Lanham and Viola Mae Bennett Lanham.  She worked as a licensed home day care provider for over 40 years and was a member of Unity Chapel Church near Ramsey.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 44 years, Marvin Dwayne Kost; her son-in-law, Thomas “Tom” Koester; and her siblings, Elmo Lanham, Maxine Simmons, Kenneth Lanham, Don Lanham, Bob Lanham, Shirley Cecil, Brenda Lanham and C.B. Lanham.

 

Survivors include her children, Michelle Koester (Jason Wilson) and Jonathon Kost (Kimberly); her grandchildren, Kourtland Koester, Karrington Koester, Kensley Koester, Grayson Kost, Easton Kost and Harper Kost; and her sisters, Rita McCollough and Diana Hammond-McCollough (Mike).

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Jeff Reed will officiate.  Burial will be in Central Barren Cemetery near New Salisbury, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Jonathon Kost, Easton Kost, Curtis Kost, Jason Wilson, Will Gray, David Bullington and Greg Ruedeman.
