Linda L. Emily

Linda L. Emily, 72, of Marengo, died Sunday, November 24, 2019, near Marengo.  She was born September 11, 1947, in Irvington, Kentucky, to the late Howard S. and Louise Hampton Deck.  She was formerly employed as the night auditor at the Best Western Old Capitol Inn in Corydon and was a member of the New Salisbury Full Gospel Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth W. Emily, Jr.; her daughter, Clara June Ash; her sister, Vivian Shewmaker; and her brothers, Howard and Claude Deck.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth W. Emily, III of Marengo; her daughters, Christina J. Bean (Steve) of Eckerty, Indiana, Margaret Miller (Danny Mattingly) of New Middletown, and Sue Baker of Corydon; her brother, Arthur Deck of Clarksville, Indiana; 19 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Steve Bean will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth W. Emily, III, Nathan Dale Wallace, Brian Ash, Joe Baker, Danny Mattingly, Richard Anthony Smith, Jr., and Bo Tyler Bean.
