Lewis R. Brown, 78, died Friday, November 13, 2020, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. He was born July 19, 1942, in New Albany. He graduated from Ball State University in 1964 and worked as a commercial insurance adjuster. Lewis was an avid outdoorsman and was a nature lover, hiker and fisherman. He was a member of several hiking clubs and environmental organizations, including the Sierra Club and The Nature Conservancy. Lewis faithfully supported animal rescue and loved his dogs. He was also a member of the Corydon Moose Lodge and was a U. S. Army Reserve veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis W. “Tabe” Brown and Annis Green Brown Baxley.
Survivors include his brother, Donald J. Brown of Corydon; his niece, Nicole L. Saulman of Corydon; and his cousins, Carmen Cunningham of Louisville, Kentucky, Annette Green Grodecki of Akron, Ohio, and Linda Brown of Corydon.
There will be a memorial visitation from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
