Larry W. Hennings, 67, of Laconia, died Friday, January 13, 2023, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born June 3, 1955, in Marion, Virginia, to the late Louis William and Shirley Ann Russell Hennings. He was a wedding photographer, with his wife Connie, for over 30 years, was formerly employed as a home builder with Jim Crosier and Crosier Brothers Construction, helped run the Laconia General Store and was an integral part of the Laconia economy in many ways, was a former member of the Laconia Lions Club, was a softball player in his younger years, and was an avid IU fan.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Connie M. Ferree Hennings; his sister, Laura Lenkey (Lewis) of Charlestown, Indiana; and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Webster Oglesby will officiate. Burial will be in Old Goshen Cemetery near Laconia.
Visitation will be from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family request that expressions of sympathy be made to Old Goshen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Ferree, Ryan Ferree, Eric Amy, Dylan Faith, Drew Faith, Jake Gleitz, Ed Woertz and Scott Crosby.
