Larry Joe Seacat, 72, of Corydon, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at his home near Corydon. He was born February 12, 1950, in Milltown, Indiana, to the late Robert E. and Dorothy E. Hanger Seacat. He was retired from the Indiana DNR, was a member of the Corydon United Methodist Church, the Pisgah Masonic Lodge #32 F&AM in Corydon, the American Legion and V.F.W., and the BVA, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Larry centered his life around his family and loved fishing, hunting, golfing, IU basketball, the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James and Thomas Seacat; and his sister, Elizabeth Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Wiseman Seacat; his sons, Mark D. Seacat (Tina) of Milltown, Indiana and Matthew T. Seacat (Tabby) of Corydon; his brother, Robert E. Seacat of Trafalgar, Indiana; his sister, Debbie Huffman of Milltown; his grandchildren, Bailey Seacat, Lane Seacat, Kendra Kaltofen, Malaya Seacat, Colt Seacat, Hunter Seacat, Laken Seacat, Reese Seacat and Skylar Seacat; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon and Emmett Newton.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Janet Kelley will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
