Larry Jack Brooks Obituary

Larry Jack Brooks, 68, of Corydon, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at his home near Corydon.  He was born January 23, 1953, in Boaz, Alabama, to the late Oscar Jack Brooks and Laura Grace Davis Brooks.  Larry was a retired truck driver, mechanic and heavy equipment operator and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Fellowship Church in Frostproof, Florida.   

 

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Ruby Hartman Brooks of Corydon; his son, Charles Brooks (Sarah) of West Point, Tennessee; his daughter, Laura Melton (Gary) of Corydon; five grandchildren, Miranda, Logan, Caylee-Mae, Mason and Aubrey; two step grandchildren, Brian Dermid and Gracie Harper; two great grandchildren, Axstin Tate and Maddilyn-Elizabeth Labonte; his brother, Donald Brooks (Donna) of Babson Park, Florida; his sister, Susan Brooks Holcomb (Rob) of Marshall, Minnesota; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Rob Pryor will officiate.  Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Logan Brooks, Dylan Brooks, Donnie Brunner, Jerry Gudgeon, Bill Bruner and Steve Lemay.
