Larry F. Windell, 73, of Corydon, died Monday, December 27, 2021, at his home near Corydon. He was born December 17, 1948, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late John Harold and Ruby Ellen Rhodes Windell. Larry was a farmer, was formerly employed at International Harvester and Riverton Trucking, was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a “Fair Weather” IU and Indianapolis Colts fan.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne C. Blank Windell; his son, Jason Windell (Jodi); his daughters, Angela Windell and Lori Rennirt (Scott); his grandchildren, Melanie (Ethan), Chad (Emily), Jacob (Natalie), Taran (Abigail), Ethan, and Taylor (Konnor); his great grandchildren, Jordan, Remington, and Dakota; and his brothers, Rev. John E. Windell (Karen), and Richard A. Windell (Deborah).
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Ronald Richeson will officiate. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Heidelberg Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Windell, Ethan Rennirt, Taran Rennirt, Chad Shireman, Ethan Whitehouse, and Konnor Voyles. Honorary pallbearers will be Melanie Windell and Taylor Rennirt.
