Larry D. Rol

Larry D. Rol, 79, of Greenville, Indiana, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born July 11, 1944, in O’Brien County, Iowa, to the late Peter and Sylvia Rol.  He was a carpenter and was part owner, with his wife, Cheryle, of Rol Publications, was a member and church council member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Corydon, was a longtime member of the Society of Decorative Painters, was a member of the NRA and Indian Creek Gun Club, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step son, John Sievers.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Cheryle R. Weidler Rol; his step daughters, Becky J. Huntley (Mark) of Cambridge, Nebraska, Michelle R. Moomey of Aldie, Virginia, and Rachel M.J. Sievers of Visalia, California; his children, Jack Rol of Lake City, Minnesota, Todd Rol of Castle Rock, Colorado, Kirsten Gannon of Lake Forest, Illinois, and Janelle Stigall of Kansas City, Missouri; his step daughter in law, Angela Whalen-Sievers of Omaha, Nebraska; his sister, Mary Jane McDonald; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 655 St. Peter’s Church Road SE, Corydon, Indiana 47112.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
