Larry A. Simler, 74, of Central, died Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. He was born May 24, 1946, in New Albany, to the late Melvin and Marilyn Applegate Simler. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church near Corydon and the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda K. Kintner Simler; his son, Bryan L. Simler; and his sister, Debbie Simler.
Survivors include his son, Steven K. Simler (Mindy) of Central; his daughter in law, Heather Simler-Walden of Depauw, Indiana; his brother, Terry Simler of Central; his grandchildren, Michael, Andrew (Ashton), Bryson, Sierra and Destiny Simler, and Brett and Justin Walden; and his great grandson, Colt Simler.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Mike McCarty will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
