Kenneth R. Bliss, 84, of Corydon, Indiana, died Monday, February 17, 2025, at his home near Corydon. He was born August 10, 1940, on the same farm where he died, to the late Ray and Nina Heishman Bliss. He was a retired Maintenance Journeyman for Brown-Forman Distilleries in Louisville after 35 years, attended Valley City Presbyterian Church, and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Kenny loved model trains, hunting (especially in Montana with his wife, Brenda), farming and tending to his homeplace. He also performed many ceremonial duties at Arlington National Cemetery during his military years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Billie Rae Hess, Betty Fowler, Doris Bliss and Marie Deaton.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Brenda Bliss; his son, Eric Bliss (Trish); his daughter, Marinda “Mindy” Bliss; his grandchildren, Lacy Tucker (Brad), Brittney Saltz (Shannon), and Sierra Bliss (J.D.); and his great grandchildren, Audrey Tucker, Easton Tucker, and Nolan Saltz.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brad Tucker, Easton Tucker, Kendal Cotner, BJ Lillpop, Earl Norris, JD Kirby, Ben Timberlake and Shannon Saltz.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Jordan Cemetery.
