Kathy Creal

Katherine Jean “Kathy” Creal, 73, of Laconia, Indiana, died Monday, October 20, 2025, at her home near Laconia.  She was born December 14, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Melvin and Catherine Homeister Thompson.  She was retired from General Electric in Louisville and loved gardening and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Perry Thompson.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Charles Sherman Creal; her sons, Rocky A. Phelps (Wilma) and Melvin Phelps; her daughter, Rhiannon Creal (Arthur); her grandchildren, Ryan Phelps (Breanna), Jonathan Phelps, Travis Phelps (Auby) and Kiley Phelps; seven great grandchildren; her brothers, Kent Thompson (Lisa) and Steve Thompson (Tracy); and her sister, Trinette Curry (Les).

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
