Katherine Louise Allen

Katherine Louise Allen, 80, of Pekin, died Monday, November 15, 2021, at her home near Pekin.  She was born August 23, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Edwin DeRoy Lawrence and Katherine Louise McFall Lawrence.  She was a retired housekeeping manager at the Paoli Convalescent Center and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in New Salisbury, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Donald F. Baker and Leslie Earl Allen; her brothers, Ralph Leroy Lawrence, John Alvin Lawrence, Edwin DeRoy Lawrence, and Dennis Michael Lawrence; and her sisters, Anna Louella Phillips and Marie Elaine Carroll.

Survivors include her sons, Donald Franklin Baker, Jr., Steven Wayne Baker (Jessie), and Douglas Andrew Baker (Cindy); her daughters, Donna Faye Breeding (Jesse), Sharon Louise Mitchell (Leslie), and Katherine Virginia Armstrong (Lawrence); her brothers, Richard Andrew Lawrence and Paul Eugene Lawrence; her sisters, Edith Elizabeth Kamber and Elsie Mae Phelps; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Steven Baker and Rev. Glenn Jordan will officiate.  Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Church of God of Prophecy in New Salisbury.
