Julia Patricia Elliss, 79, of Sellersburg, died Monday, May 24, 2021, at her home in Sellersburg. She was born November 12, 1941, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late John and Dorothy Moody Story. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Clarksville, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Byron D. Elliss; her son, Mark Allen Elliss; and her grandchildren, Joseph David Elliss and Rebecca Nalley.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Elliss (Rebecca) of Decatur, Tennessee and Paul Elliss (Naomi) of Elizabeth, Indiana; her daughters, Debbie Striegel (Del) of Georgetown, Indiana and Patty Nalley (William “Red”) of Elizabeth; her brother, David Story of Colorado; her sister, Jean Rado (Frank) of Florida; her grandchildren, Lisa Marrotta (Mark), Anna Meeks (Keith), Rebekah McIntosh (Clint), Sarah Eger (Jeff), Wendy Nalley, Lindsey Williams (David), and Ryan Elliss; her great grandchildren, Alicia, Mark, Emma, Andrew, Joseph, Eli, Caleb, Carson, Adaline, Jasmine, and Courtney; and her great great grandson, James.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastors James Allen and Kevin Crase will officiate. Burial will be in Roger’s Campground Cemetery near Elizabeth.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Marrotta, Clint McIntosh, Jeff Eger, Keith Meeks, David Williams, and Damian Story.
