Judith Ann Shaffer, 89, of Corydon, died Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Masonic Home Sam Swope Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born December 5, 1935, in Louisville, to the late Estill Sidney “Sam” Green and Beatrice Marian Huff Green. She was a librarian for the Harrison County Public Library in Corydon going on 25 years and enjoyed living on her farm for 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin Elmer Shaffer; her sons, David Shaffer and Philip Shaffer; her grandchildren, Nathan Shaffer and Ashley Miller; and her brother, Jack Green.
Survivors include her sons, Darryl Shaffer (Elaine) and Stephen Shaffer (Ann-Marie); her daughters, Sandra Vogt (Randy), Laura Miller (Lynn) and Sarah Fulks (Chris); 28 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana. Rev. Steve McAfee will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
