Joshua Lewis Crone

Joshua Lewis Crone, 25, of Depauw, Indiana, died Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was born October 30, 1997 in New Albany, Indiana.  Josh was a graduate of North Harrison High School and was employed with Miller Pipeline.  He especially loved spending time with his son, parents, sister, brothers, and nieces and nephews.  He also enjoyed playing the guitar and riding his bike.  He was a loving and dedicated father and was a remarkable individual who balanced being an amazing father and hard working son with ease.  He had an incredible work ethic and always put his family first.  Despite the demands of his professional life, Josh never neglected his responsibilities.  He managed to strike a perfect balance between his work and family life, making sure that he was always available for his loved ones.  Our baby was loved by so many, including his big family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Doris Crone; his aunts, Pattie Emily, Beverly Spalding, Janet Crawford, Cindy Mathes and Karen Payton; and his uncles, Roger Gerdon and Pat Spalding.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Lori Rainbolt Crone; his son, Dawson Ray Crone; his sister, Courtney Crone; his brothers, Brandon Crone (Kayla) and Jeremy Crone (Jenny); his one true love, Emily Evola; his nephews, Callum Leask, Gunner Crone and Damian Crone; his nieces, Janel Hadley and Evy Crone; his grandparents, Gary and Susie Rainbolt; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Tyler Stark will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gary Crosby, D.J. Lincoln, Adam Shaffer, Dustin Stump, Cambron Gabaree, Sam Harshfield, Lucas Harshfield, Steven Daniels and Brak Nicholson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Courtney Crone, Callum Leask and Dawson Crone.

Josh was an organ donor, and his family has requested that donations in Josh’s memory can be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
