Johnny Wayne Hoback, 84, of Mauckport, passed peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 5, 1941, in Corydon, Indiana, to the late John Robert and Charlotte Miller Hoback. Johnny was a former production manager at Keller Manufacturing for over 38 years and served in the U.S. Army for over 2 years. He loved sharing the love and warmth of his Savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dallas Hoback; his sisters, Esther Coffman, Becky Jean Shumaker, Betty Crawford, Dollie Mae Hoback, and Shirley Welman.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Wiseman Hoback; his daughters, Jonna Hoback and Pam Pryor (Rob); his grandchildren, Brandon Bowers (Danielle) and Brook Bowers (Daniel); his great-grandchildren, Dakota Emily, Gabriel Emily, and Rachael Bowers; his brother, Bobby Hoback; and his sisters, Barbara Smith (Jim) and Carolyn Hofmann (Lawrence).
Cremation was chosen according to Johnny’s wishes. A Celebration of Life will be hosted by the family at a later date. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Danny Wiseman and the staff of Amedisys Hospice for all the great love, care, and support they showed to Johnny.
