John William Eckart, 61, of Elizabeth, Indiana, died Monday, July 21, 2025, at his home near Elizabeth.  He was born April 9, 1964 in Corydon, Indiana.  He was retired from Tower Automotive in Corydon, was a member of Prehistoric American and loved collecting Indian artifacts.

 

John was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Jean “Burty” Keith Eckart, the night before his death on July 20, 2025.

 

Survivors include his father, Patrick William “Pat” Eckart of Elizabeth; his brother, Eric DeWayne Eckart (Kim) of Laconia, Indiana; his niece, Kelsey Thompson; and his great nephews, Tommy, Emmett and Olson Thompson.

 

Funeral services will be with his mother, Roberta, at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25,2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
