John David Shaffer, 68, of Corydon, died Saturday, February 1, 2025, at his home near Corydon.  He was born December 3, 1956, in Corydon, to the late Robert David and Dolly Ellen Curts Shaffer.  He was formerly employed at AutoZone in Corydon, was a former owner, with his family, of NAPA Auto Parts in Madison, Indiana, and loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tina M. Cunningham Shaffer; and his brother, Larry Woertz.

 

Survivors include his sisters in law, Teresa Woertz and Medea Tatum; his brother in law, Kelly Cunningham; his nephews, Chris Woertz (Valerie) and Jonathan Woertz (Chantelle); and his nieces, Jesse and Kristin Woertz.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Rick Utz will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Woertz, Gerald Baldridge, Chris Woertz, Seth Baldridge, Serenity Baldridge, Blake Woertz, Evan Woertz, Elijah Woertz, and Evalynn Woertz.
