Joan Wiley

Joan Wiley, 84, of Crandall, died Friday, February 28, 2020, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon, Indiana.  She was born September 28, 1935, in Marion County, Kentucky, to the late John Reuben and Frances Flossie Wooley Blandford.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon and also loved to quilt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice Jay Wiley; her brothers, Bobby and Joseph “Ricky” Blandford; and her sister Mahala Siegel.

Survivors include her son, Darrell Maurice Wiley (Denise) of Crandall; her grandchildren, Kendal Jayallen Wiley (Emily) and Bethany Noelle Burke Tim); her brothers, Johnny Blandford, Michael Blandford (Jeanie) and Joseph “Kirby” Blandford (Nancy); and her sisters, Charlene Nugent, Mary Elaine Miles (Marvin), Mary Veronica “Ronnie” Baumer (David), Diane Mattingly, Mary Cabrini Gordon (Butch), Mary “Terri” Sympson, and Mary “Angie” Puckett.

Her funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.  Father Kyle Rodden will officiate.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday at the church, followed immediately by a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m..

Pallbearers will be Kendal Wiley, Tim Burke, Dorsey Wagner, David Baumer, Joe Wuerth and Danny Broughton.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society.
