Jo Ann Timberlake, 91, of Mauckport, died Monday, May 17, 2021, at her home near Mauckport. She was born October 27, 1929, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Arlie L. Beanblossom and Alice Ruth Wilburn Beanblossom. She was formerly employed as a cook for 18 years for J. Russell Flowers, Inc. barge lines and ACBL, was formerly employed at M. Fine and Sons Shirt Factory in New Albany, worked with her family in their logging and sawmill business, was a member of the Meade County Senior Citizens, and was a past president of the Heth Township Civic Club. Jo Ann was very patriotic, was devoted to helping her community in any way she could, and loved spending time gardening and working with her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Arlie L. “Toddie” Beanblossom, Jr.; and her sister, Nina L. Faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Jan Wathen (James) of Brandenburg, Kentucky and Arla Jo Durham (Wes) of Corydon; her grandchildren, Philip Myrick (Marci), Valerie Woodward, Vanessa Harbeson (Chris), Todd Durham, Jeremy Wathen (Cecily), and Jamie Wathen (Brian Ballman); and her great grandchildren, Shelby, Ashley, Drew, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Josephine, and Azalea.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Tom Jeffery will officiate. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Central, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or Central Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Ballman, Jeremy Wathen, James Wathen, Chris Harbeson, Philip Myrick and Dayton Boyd.
