James William Barber, 76, of Elizabeth, died Sunday, June 20, 2021, at his home near Elizabeth. He was born January 13, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Edward and Louise King Barber. He was retired from American Standard, formerly drove a BP gas tanker, was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Clarksville, Indiana and was a U. S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Faye Basham and Wanda Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona Jackson Barber; his brother, Ronald Barber (Joann) of Georgetown, Indiana; and his sisters, Wendy Heistand and Janice Burch (Ryan) both of Louisville.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Faith Assembly Church in Clarksville. Pastor James Allen and Pastor Kevin Crase will officiate. Burial will be in Rogers Campground Cemetery near Elizabeth.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at his church.
Pallbearers will be Paul Elliss, Ron Shaw, Kyle Jackson, Evan Jackson, Timothy Shaw and Charles Bland.
