James V. "Doodie" Gardner

James V. “Doodie” Gardner, 61, of Corydon, Indiana, died Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Corydon.  He was born October 22, 1964 in Glasgow, Kentucky.  James was a talented concrete finisher for many years and attended several local churches, including First Capital Christian Church in Corydon.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Pete” Gardner and Ola Pauline Lewis Burton; his grandparents, Nellie and Zack Lewis; and his son, Joe Reas.

Survivors include his children, Tabatha Gardner (Rashad), Jesse Gardner (Bailey), Kristi Reas, Kelly Smith (Brandon) and Jack Lowe (Amber); and his grandchildren, Ky’ree, Kadyn, Levi, Waylon, Vivianne, Lilly, Ayden, Jeannie, Karly, and Joey.

There will be a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
