James E. “Butch” Simcoe, 71, of Corydon, died Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born April 10, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late James and Elvina Mayfield Simcoe. He was retired from Keller Manufacturing Company in Corydon, was a member of the catholic faith, was a member of the Next Step in Corydon, loved to woodwork, and was a United Sates Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Larry “Doc” Simcoe.
Survivors include his brother, Dennis Simcoe of Corydon; and his sisters, Janet Pease (Jim) and Ann Clark both of Corydon.
There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
