James Carl “Jim” Wiseman, 67, of Valley City, Indiana, died Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born May 6, 1959, in Jefferson County, Kentucky, to the late Forrest Carl and Norma Virginia Rhoads Wiseman.  Jim worked as a mechanic at Charlie’s Used Cars and Towing in Corydon for over 25 years, was formerly employed with Barks Lumber Company and as a farm worker, was a member of Wesley Chapel Community Church near Mauckport, Indiana, and loved fishing, hunting and old cars.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jesse Wiseman; and his brother, Scott Wiseman.

 

Survivors include his wife, Tonya Mansfield Wiseman; his son, Frankie Wiseman (Brittany); his daughters, Amanda Williams (Logan) and Rachael Spaw; his grandchildren, Ryder Wilson, Lincoln Williams, Ivey Wiseman, Greenley Wiseman, Asya Nation, Brentley Spaw, Hunter Wiseman, Joseph Wiseman, and Garrett Wiseman; his great grandson, Klayton; his mother in law, Betty Mansfield; his brothers, Dennis Kirkham, Mike Kirkham, Tony Kirkham, and Todd Wiseman; his sisters, Rhonda Bowman, Debbie Wiseman, Ruth Bruner, and Donna Bailey; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Burial will be in Wolfe Cemetery near Georgetown, Indiana. 

 

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Alvin Greer, Ryder Wilson, Hunter Crone, Dennis Crone, JimRay Crone, Jordan Crone, Aaron Hoehn, and Jerry Crone.
