Jack D. Baker, 95, of Corydon, formerly of Evansville, Indiana, joined God in Heaven on Thursday, October 8, 2020. He was born December 21, 1924, in Evansville, to the late Oscar and Frieda Lamar Baker. He was retired from Bristol Myers in Evansville, was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 1114 in Evansville and the American Legion, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Evansville, attended Epiphany Lutheran Church near New Salisbury, Indiana, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII where he proudly served on the USS Iowa. Jack also loved bass fishing, skeet shooting and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Evelyn M. Gore Baker.
Survivors include his son, James Baker (Nellouise) of Corydon; and his granddaughters, Natalie Mills of Corydon, Penelope Baker of Louisville and Jami Wooten of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Epiphany Lutheran Church.
