Hilda R. Hussung, 91, of Lanesville, Indiana, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at her home in Lanesville.  She was born April 6, 1935, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Robert W. and Dora Inis Baker Stark.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville, was a retired Title 1 Aide at Lanesville Elementary School, was a former cook at St. John’s Lutheran Church School, and was a member of the “Lanesville Women’s Euchre Club”.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, William L. “Bill” Hussung; her son, Scott William Hussung; her grandson, Tate Phillip Lieber; and her brother, Bobby Stark.

 

Survivors include her son, Brad Hussung (Cathy); her daughter, Tammy J. Lieber (Tom); her grandchildren, Amber Davis (Joe), Tana Thompson (Levi), Tricia Hussung, and Drew Hussung (Ali); her granddaughter in law, Kayla Lieber; her great grandchildren, Marlowe Davis, Alex Thompson, Avery Thompson, Sawyer Lieber, Lucy Lieber, Rosie Lieber and Eleanor Hussung; her brother, Terry Stark (Vivian); and her sisters, Joyce Kochert, Deborah Roll (John), and Sandra Dickson (Norman).

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville.  Rev. Michael Terkula will officiate.  Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana.

 

Pallbearers will be Alex Thompson, Avery Thompson, Levi Thompson, Sawyer Lieber, Drew Hussung, and Joe Davis.
