Hetzel Daun Amos, 90, of Corydon, died Friday, January 26, 2024, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.  He was born January 12, 1934, in Butler County, Kentucky, to the late Claude and Cora L. Lawrence Amos.  He was retired from Philip Morris in Louisville and was a member of the Corydon Church of Christ.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Lee Constant Amos; and 9 siblings.

 

Survivors include his sons, Richard Daun Amos (Rhonda) and Darren Daun Amos (Tanya); his daughter, Karen Lee Hughes (Clayton); his grandchildren, Amanda, Whitney, Rikki, Samantha, Emerald, J.D., and Amethyst; and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Bailey, Cloe, Mattie, Amos, Jase, Parker, Canaan, Mitch, Zeke, Novaleigh, Dexter, Athena, Cadan and Lucas.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Matt Korte, Danny Phipps, Cody Grant, Rick Harbaugh, Bob Harbaugh and J.D. Johnson.
