Herman “Mac” McPherson, 81, of Lanesville, Indiana, died Monday, May 19, 2025, at BeeHive Homes of Georgetown in Georgetown, Indiana.  He was born July 7, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Wilfred and Anna Lee Fulkerson McPherson.  He was a self-employed landscaper, was formerly employed in data processing at Keller Manufacturing Company in Corydon, was a member of the Lanesville United Methodist Church, was a U.S. Army veteran, and enjoyed painting and gardening in his spare time.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William McPherson; and his sister, Carolyn Yeager.

 

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Yeager McPherson; his son, Paul Steven McPherson (Louann); his daughter, Beth McCubbins (Rusty); his brother, Calvin McPherson, Sr. (June); his grandchildren, Jessica James, Ryan McCubbins (Madelynn), and Brandon Denham, Sr.; and his great grandson, Brandon “Elby” Denham, Jr..

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Edith Bleecker and Rev. Elizabeth Lukemeier will officiate.  Burial will be in the Lanesville Protestant Cemetery near Lanesville.

 

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Brian Myers, Jacob Myers, Michael Royalty, Rusty McCubbins, Ryan McCubbins, Justin McPherson and Eric McPherson.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Lanesville United Methodist Church.
