Henry C. Taylor, Jr.

Henry C. Taylor, Jr., 90, of Corydon, died Saturday, October 24, 2020, at his home in Corydon.  He was born April 5, 1930, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, to the late Henry Custer and Emma Stratton Taylor.  He was formerly employed at Hoosier Panel in New Albany, Indiana, Keller Manufacturing Company in Corydon, Limeberry Lumber Company in Corydon, as a meter reader with the Town of Corydon, and he formerly operated a hotel in Paoli, Indiana with his wife, Janet.  Henry was a member of the Corydon Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the V.F.W. Post 2950 in Corydon and was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet A. Miller Taylor; his son, Henry C. Taylor III; his brothers, Gilbert, Dudley, Edward “Pete”, and Walter Taylor; and his sisters, Edna Riley, Bessie Moffet, Artie Moffet, Florence Troncin, Mattie Willard, Catherine Catlett, and Margaret Gresham.

Survivors include his daughters, Diana Cunningham and Sandra Lopp (Billy) both of Corydon; his grandchildren, Holly Cunningham, Brian Cunningham (Rose), Heather Sloan (Mike), Tracy Lopp (Jennifer), Troy Lopp, Todd Lopp (Autumn), Henry Taylor IV (Katie), and Cody Taylor; his great grandchildren, Alex Cline, Emma Cunningham, Caitlin Sloan, Ella Cunningham, Jacob Lopp, Waylon Lopp, Ruby Lopp, Aspen Taylor, and Ren Taylor; his sister, Geneva Stepro of Corydon; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Marsha & Butch Lopp for their caring friendship, and Hosparus Southern Indiana for their dedicated care.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Rick Harting and Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Corydon Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 216 North Mulberry Street, Corydon, Indiana 47112.

Pallbearers will be Brian Cunningham, Alex Cline, Tracy Lopp, Todd Lopp, Henry Taylor IV, and Cody Taylor.
