Henrietta Mae “Etta” Catron, 86, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  She was born October 23, 1938, in Corydon, to the late John M. and Hazel M. Worley Lowe. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Garnie “Ed”  Catron; her daughter, Garnette Talbot; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Catron; her grandson, Greg Talbot; her brothers, David and Bill Lowe; and her sister, Macy Carver.

Etta enjoyed quilting, talking on the phone (especially with her son and grandchildren), spending time with her dog, and watching In the Kitchen with David on QVC.  Previously, she and Ed participated in shows with the Old Thresher’s throughout Missouri.  Etta ran QuiltingTyme, a mainly online quilting retail store, and had been selling items on eBay since early 1998.

Survivors include her loving son, Rick Catron and his partner, Cindy; her grandchildren, Travis Talbot, Jeffrey Catron (Jocelyn), Jacob Catron (Stephanie) and Jessica Catron Pugh (Tom); her great grandchildren, Aaron and Alexis Catron; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
