Harold Leroy Jones

Harold Leroy Jones, 78, of Hardinsburg, died Friday, May 1, 2020, at his home in Hardinsburg, after a long struggle with cancer.  He was born May 17, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Lawrence F. and Mary H. Van Fleet Jones.  Harold spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, where he was a decorated combat medic, serving 3 tours in Vietnam.  He also received 2 purple hearts and other medals during those tours.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Ann Wagoner Jones; his parents; his step father, Carl; his brothers, Jim and Ben; and his sisters, Evelyn and Ramona.

Survivors include his devoted niece and caregiver, Bobi (Barbara) Kee of Hardinsburg; his sisters, Barbara Kee of Paoli and Carlena Christiansen of Bedford; his children, James of Colorado, Laura and Pam both of Colorado, and Trish of California; two step daughters; and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
