Guy L. Watson, 89, of Clarksville, died Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born December 4, 1930, near New Amsterdam, Indiana, to the late Floyd and Daisy Montgomery Watson. Guy graduated from New Amsterdam High School in 1949 and later attended radio and television repair classes. He was retired from South Central Bell (AT&T) in Louisville, was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War era, and was an avid IU fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alyce Irene Saulman Watson; his grandson, Kyle Lutes; his brothers, Jess, Frank, Monty and Jerry Watson; and his sisters, Roma Lopp, Corinne Saulman and Micky Wyckman.
Survivors include his son, Guy Michael Watson (Tina) of Estill Springs, Tennessee; his daughters, Denise K. Hannigan (Jim) of Charlestown, Indiana and Shelly J. Lutes (Bill) of Terre Haute, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jim Hannigan II (Tiffany), Aimee Hannigan (Michael Moore), Stephanie Myers (Kendall), Alexandria Page Watson (Will Cox), and Cody Lutes (Sheena Houser); and his great grandchildren, Sydney Hannigan, James Hannigan III, Avery Hannigan, Henry Hannigan, Sovay Popp, Gabriel Popp, and Emerson Grace Myers.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Chaplain Leland Parks will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
