Gerald Dale "Jerry" Cox

Gerald Dale “Jerry” Cox, 73, of English, died Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born July 19, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Joseph Sr. and Grace Hirsch Cox.  He was the owner of C&D Material Handling overhead crane service, formerly worked as an electrician, formerly worked with his father in construction, attended Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Teresa Pflum.

Survivors include his wife, Gale Sue Bishop Cox; his daughters, Kimberly Mason (Orlen) and Kristen Mason (Justin) both of Fairfiled, Ohio, Jessica DeCarlo (Adam) of English, and Jeri Cox (Kevin) of Palmyra, Indiana; his brother, Joseph “Bud” Cox, Jr. (Donna) of Florida; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Brother Orlen Mason will officiate.

Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
