Geneva Marie Martin, 80, of New Albany, died Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Hillcrest Village in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born October 25, 1939, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. She was a retired wood worker at Paramount Plywood Products in New Albany, was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Alton, Indiana, and was an Agnostic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ancil Collins and Virginia Lucille Seelye Johnson; her husband, Frederick W. Martin, Sr.; and her daughter, Betty Colleen White.
Survivors include her daughters, Eva Marie Buckel of New Albany and Tenia Marie Reid (Dwayne) of Jeffersonville; her brother, Robert Collins of Austin, Indiana; her sisters, Mary Mongosa (Don) of Peru, Indiana, Thelma Sears of Mitchell, Indiana, and Dorothy DeLong (Glenn) of Salyersville, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and numerous bonus children and grandchildren from the Martin side of the family.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
