Geneva Louise Dobbins, 87, of Lanesville, died Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon. She was born on September 13, 1932, in Lanesville, to the late Walter and Viola Baumgart Ott.
She was retired from the Harrison County Clerk’s office and was a devoted servant of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lanesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Irvin Dobbins; and her brothers, Lawrence Ott and his wife Lucine and Eugene Ott and his wife Sherrill.
Survivors include her son, Ronnie Dobbins (Cathy) of New Salisbury; her daughter, Kimberly Seidenfaden of Lanesville; seven grandchildren, Faith Gentry (Tyler) of Zionsville, Indiana, Dustin Dobbins (Maria) of New Salisbury, Zach Dobbins (Crystal) of Marengo, Jordan Dobbins (Heather) and Noah Dobbins (McKinsey) both of Corydon, and Cameron Seidenfaden and Michaela Brooke Seidenfaden both of Lanesville; and her great grandchildren, Ben, Harper, Shayna, Jesse, Gavin, Hunter, Bentley, Kaelin, Jace, Aria, Ryker, Ember, Taylynn, Jayce, and Jaxon.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2020, at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville. Pastor Mark Carnahan will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery near Lanesville.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Pallbearers will be Dustin, Zach, Jordan and Noah Dobbins and Cameron Seidenfaden.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or school.
