Geneva Lucille Stepro, 96, of Corydon, died Thursday, January 13, 2022, at her son’s home near Corydon. She was born January 1, 1926, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Henry Custer Taylor and Emma Stratton Taylor. She was formerly employed at the old Dog and Suds restaurant and Keller Manufacturing Company both in Corydon, and was a member of the Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sheldon C. Stepro; her brothers, Gilbert, Dudley, Edward ”Pete”, Walter, and Henry Taylor; and her sisters, Edna Riley, Bessie Moffet, Artie Moffet, Florence Troncin, Mattie Willard, Catherine Catlett, and Margaret Gresham.
Survivors include her sons, Rodger D. Stepro (Teresa) and Carl D. Stepro (Tonya) both of Corydon; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday an after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
