Frederic J “Fred” Frederick, 97, of Corydon, Indiana, died Friday, February 6, 2026, at his home in Corydon.  He was born October 12, 1928, in Corydon, to the late Hugh T. Frederick and Marjorie Luckett Frederick.  He was a former office manager at Keller Manufacturing Company in Corydon before retiring as secretary of the board, was a member of the Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ, was a past president and member of the Corydon Jaycees, was a past school board vice president of the South Harrison Community School Corporation, was a little league baseball coach, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, June L. Schuppert Frederick; his son-in-law, Samuel Bennett; his brothers, Don Frederick and Roger Frederick; and his sister, Alice Atkins.

 

Survivors include his children, Gail Bennett of Corydon, Tim Frederick (Pam) of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and David Frederick of Corydon; his grandchildren, Leah Jagatic (Zeljko), Samantha Jennings (Robert), Katie Johnson (Stephen), Cris Bennett (Andrea) and Brittany Bennett; and his great grandchildren, Tucker Matthew Johnson, Brooks Frederick Johnson, June Elizabeth Jennings, Katherine Baxter Jennings, Anthony Dean, Stephani Dean, Ahria Dean and Samuel Bennett.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Lanny Lawler will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
