Evelyn R. Blum, 95, of Lanesville, Indiana, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  She was born September 30, 1928, in Lanesville, to the late Henry and Alberta Feig Fachinger.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Corydon, Indiana.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, August J. Blum; her son, Ronald Lee Blum; her brother, Adam Fachinger; and her sisters, Rose Hussung and Mary Franklin.

 

Survivors include her son, Kenneth Blum (Lennie) of Corydon; her daughter, Regina A. Keehner (Terry) of Louisville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Andrew Blum, Theresa Cartwright (Henry), and Tim Keehner (Brie); her great grandchildren, Dalton Cartwright (Becky) and Candice Martin (James); and many loving nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Corydon.  Pastor Ron Poisel will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the church.

 

Pallbearers will be Andrew Blum, Artie Zollman, Dalton Cartwright, Henry Cartwright, Jerry Gleitz and Perry Gleitz.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Corydon.
